This is yet another self-teaching book that sits on my bookshelf unused. I looked at it when it arrived and was dismayed to find references to a teacher (not myself apparently) and an “accompanying” CD. Well, the book was expensive enough as it was; the need for more media and a live teacher pretty much dampened my enthusiasm. It also didn’t help when I saw how much I was supposed to learn and that there more books in the series. I’m pretty much a loser as regards learning music theory or playing, I admit. Sp if you’re like me, don¡t bother buying the book: buy a teacher. And if you’re not like me, you don’t need such a book.
